Positive Behavior Supports
There was a child who was going into the other children's cubbies and taking their items out of their cubby. This child wanted a connection with the other children and the only way he knew to do this was taking items of theirs. We came up with this ideas of a friends book. Each child in the classroom made a page. Now when this child wants to take something from the cubbies he is reminded that his friends already gave him something......the book!

While talking about mail carriers, the students received a package in the mail that was full of writing materials, including envelopes and stamps.
A map was drawn on a paper covered table in the art area along with stencils and rulers so that children could add to the map.
Pictures of places in the community were in a bucket with clothespins in the block area so that children could set their neighborhoods up anyway they liked. Blank squares and markers were also available for children to create their own neighborhood places.children were able to pretend to purchase school supplies.
